In May’s TACIT :

‘The Dick Vet was founded by William Dick in 1823 and was situated in Clyde Street which is now Multrees Walk. As the need for more space grew, it was moved to Summerhall in 1916 and admitted about 30-40 students per year. Now the number is over 250.’
