About ELISA

“ELISA” stands for the Edinburgh Libraries & Information Services Agency and it acts as a network for all the library and information professionals based in Edinburgh.
There are over 130 different libraries and information services in Edinburgh working in all sectors and many having a national or international remit.
ELISA’s aim is to provide opportunities for library and information staff in the city to develop and improve services to users through practical ventures on the ground.

Sleep Exhibition at City Libraries

‘From 30 July until 1 September 2012 Edinburgh Central Library will be exhibiting a collection of photographs by Robert Reinhardt, an artist and educator based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania http://web.me.com/restinpixels
He has been visiting and working in Edinburgh for ten years and his passionate interest in local cemeteries has resulted in a series of photographs of gravestones, with a particular beauty of their own. Some of his work has been included in the Royal Commission of Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland collection’
