Libraries for All

The ELISA Access Group consists of representatives from a range of library and information services across Edinburgh.  Our goal is to ensure and promote access for all to libraries and information services in Edinburgh.

The group manage the ELISA passport scheme and the Edinburgh Libraries Guide which were developed as a means of widening access to relevant information resources.  Recently, the scheme has successfully been extended to schools in Edinburgh.

We are looking at other ways that we can raise the profile of Edinburgh libraries and information services.   If you are interested in the joint promotion of information services, establishing contact and working collaboratively with other information professionals, and would like to get involved, please contact the Access Group Chair, Ian Kirkby at ian.kirkby@edinburgh.gov.uk.
